Field Day

Yesterday was field day at FPG Bilingue Elementary, and Barb and I volunteered. And after 3 1/2 hours on the field supervising games for all of the K-2 kids I can say one true thing. Whatever the teachers make where you are it is almost assuredly not enough. Not nearly enough. They are all amazing and we should all give thanks that there are human beings who enthusiastically, competently, professionally, and patiently teach our kids. Because Justin drives me crazy most days all by himself. 

Teachers, y’all. They are better people than we are. That’s just an objective fact. 

And Justin’s teachers are even better than most. I am so grateful for Ms. Quinn and Ms. Vasquez and Ms. Del Valle and Ms. Ciera and Ms. Davogustto. Justin wouldn’t be where he is without them. They - and all the teachers in all the schools - deserve all the public recognition and respect we can give. Teaching is an almost impossible job. And most do it magnificently.
