Summer Update
Greetings all. I hope that you all had a meaningful Memorial Day.
Thanks to everyone who texted, emailed, called, or otherwise reached out over the weekend. It has historically been a rough one for me, and is one of sadness and reflection.
That said, I am where I am now because of the love and care of all the people who support me. And I appreciate you all. I am able to see the beauty, joy, and life around me. Even on Memorial Day. And that is a testament to the support of all the wonderful people in my life.
Thank you.
Now. Let's summer.
There will be more Combat Snuggles coming this summer, with a couple of changes.
First, the newsletter will be coming out every Monday. It will include a reflection. Some of these will be 5 Things, some will be deeper explorations of things I have been thinking about. This summer also marks the return of Combat (1-3 things from the previous week that have irked / frustrated / intrigued me) and Snuggles (1-3 things that have made me smile or brought me joy).
I will also be sharing a brief update of the craziness that happens around here. Over the summer, I will be taking a step back from social media. I will still have accounts, but I will be engaging less on those platforms. I think it is important to take breaks. Social media can become pretty overwhelming if you let it, and I am still working out my boundaries there. It is an ongoing work.
Also - book updates! I will let you know how *that* work is coming. HINT: slllloooooowwwwwwwwwwwllllyyyyyyyy.
The first newsletter will be out next Monday, June 7. And more to follow throughout the summer.
Thank you again for reading, and for your support.
Be well y’all. Keep pounding the rock.
Talk soon. In the meantime, here’s a picture of Matthew’s new car. He is very excited.
I appreciate you being aware of the challenge of establishing or keeping boundaries for social media.
And I love what you said about your book, or perhaps the way you said it.
Thank YOU, Jeff, for pounding the rock.
