The Christmas Star

Weekly Update - December 2, 2022

We put up our Christmas tree a few days ago. We always wait until after Thanksgiving to put the tree up, and then we try to have it down before Justin and Willie’s birthdays - the 29th and 31st respectively. In addition to the tree, we also have 6 boxes of Christmas decorations and holiday themed paraphernalia that we then install in various locations around the home. If you had asked me before we consolidated all the stuff last year, I would have told you our family didn’t make a big deal of Christmas. 

After loading all of those boxes into the attic last year, I can assure you that we very much make a big deal of Christmas. And it can take a while after we get all the stuff down to get it all out of those boxes.

One of the things that was in all of those boxes was the star topper for the tree. So we had a tree. And ornaments. But no star.

This morning before school, Justin implored us to find the star today and put it on.
