It was always going to end here. It was always going to end in violence. It was always going to end with our democracy in tatters and barely holding on. It was always going to end badly. Always. It was always going to end here because of who Donald Trump is.
Thank you, Jeff. Accountability is important for all of us and the acknowledgement of how we got here - didn't start with #45 and Tweets. I read last week that 1/7/21 was the anniversary of first US elections. Only White males who owned property (no other white men, or women or people of color) were eligible to vote and only some of them participated so, even though George Washington won unanimously, only 1.3% of the total population of U.S. elected the first president. That is where we started so no wonder people of various, vastly different groups feel disenfranchised now.
Thank you for your encouraging words - so glad to be on this journey with you.
Uh, yeah. Just...yeah.
Truth, as always, thank you Jeff
This may be the best thing you have ever written. And you have written a lot of good stuff. Are you open to submitting this elsewhere?

thank you Jeff for working through and writing down these thoughts.
Your perspective is both depressing and encouraging. I hope that you can find a way to share these more widely.
